After training in hotel management, Daniela Schade started her career with the VIP Guest Service at the Steigenberger Hotel Graf Zeppelin, and then switched to the management of the reception at the Inter- Continental Hotel in Stuttgart. From 1988 to 2005, she worked for the AVIS car rental company, ending up as Director Sales, in which role she was responsible for the corporate sector and the tourism business. At the same time, Daniela Schade studied at the Business and Administration Academy in Stuttgart, majoring in marketing.
After her 17-year career with Avis, Daniela Schade returned to the hotel industry in January 2006. As Vice President National
Sales, she was initially responsible for national corporate customer sales for AccorHotels. In her role as Vice President Sales & Distribution, her remit was supplemented by international sales and distribution in October 2007.
In October 2008, she became a member of the management of AccorHotels in Germany.
In 2009, Daniela Schade became Senior Vice President Commercial and was responsible for the marketing of the brands Pullman, Novotel, Suite Novotel, MGallery, Mercure, ibis, ibis Styles and ibis budget. In July 2010, revenue management and pricing were added to her portfolio of tasks.
In connection with the group-wide restructuring of AccorHotels, Daniela Schade assumed the role of a Senior Vice President Sales & Distribution, Revenue Management and Loyalty Central Europe in January 2014.
In November 2015, Ms Schade was promoted to the role of Senior Vice President Marketing and Distribution, reporting directly to the CEO of the Central and Eastern Europe region. She was appointed Managing Director of AccorHotels Germany GmbH on 1 April 2016.
AccorHotels has been a member of the German Business Travel Association VDR (Verband Deutsches Reisemanagement) since 1997. Daniela Schade has been an honorary member of the Presidential Committee since April 2000. In this role, she represents the German service industry, e.g. hotel chains, car rental companies, airlines and credit card companies.
In September 2013, she was named Sales & Marketing Manager of the Year 2013 by the Travel Industry Club (TIC), the association of top decision-makers in the tourism and media industry.
Since September 2018, Daniela Schade has been the head of the Sales, Marketing & Brand Communications, Distribution, Loyalty and Revenue Management divisions within Central Europe in her role as Senior Vice President Commercial Development. As part of the corporate transformation of AccorHotels, she is significantly involved in the realisation and implementation of a new business model within the region, which, besides Germany and Austria, has also included Switzerland since March 2018.
